Evaluation

My friend LivE inpired me to take a look at my New Year's Resolutions and take stock to see how I'm doing so far. I think this is a great idea, so the first week of every month, I will try and do this. Keeps me honest, you know?

I only have 3 NYR's so in theory, it shouldn't be too hard. Anyway, here we go:

#1: Spend more quality time with my husband.

Well, I think we did pretty well here last month, since we spent 10 days together in Florida. We had a blast together, and I hope we get to take some more mini-vacations this year, just the 2 of us.

#2: Keep a journal.

I am proud to say that I have been doing a very good job. I am current! Some days, I have missed, and then I've had to go back and write a couple days to catch up, but I don't think this is cheating. :)

#3: Read the Bible.

To be honest, I am 3 days behind. I got off-track when we went on vacation, and I've been strugging to catch up, but I will! Soon! And it's been amazing so far - I LOVE that I have 172 verses to read each day because it gets me really thinking about what is happening, and ties stories together so I see them in a different light. It's nice!

In the meantime, I've added another pseudo-resolution. As of January 1st, I have given up all soda. Now, I didn't think this would be very difficult because I didn't think that I drink all that much soda... but I guess I do because the cravings have been difficult!! Isn't that crazy? Before, I would drink less than 1 can of soda a day, sometimes 1 per week, but now that I "can't" have it, I seem to want it more. But so far, so good. 1 month down. :)

And there you have it. Not so bad, if I do say so myself! How are you coming on your Resolutions?

I'm so glad to see you have kept up with your new years resolutions! It's not cheating as long as you get it done is how I look at it.

Glad the you tube worked!

I to should look at my resolutions and see how I'm doing. I know for sure I have kept one and that was not to eat any okra. LOL I might have to do a blog entry on that. I like your blog and will visit again. I will link it to mine too.

Great job on keeping up!! It is always a great idea to revisit the goals we've set and evaluate ... keep up your good work :) I gave up soda before, too! I actually drank very little for years (only when we went out to eat sometimes). I'm back on the wagon but plan to give it up again when the kids are well and I can go back to the gym. I know it made a big difference fo me after I could quit WANTING it so much!!

Thanks for reminding me to spend more time with my husband... I've been obsessive about digi these past weeks of NWR, and oftentimes we work AROUND and PARALLEL TO each other taking care of the house, children, etc. I'm gonna go give him a squeeze now!
