scrapbook page!

Since Dan is sleeping in this morning, I thought I would do some scrapbooking.  This page was prompted by the Project 52 challenge at Jen Wilson Designs.  I'm happy to say I have participated every week!  

I've been wanting to scrap this photo of Bella and Bentley because it captures them perfectly.  They are so different and of course I can never get them to look in the same direction at the same time!

Tuesday, 3/24:  Shopping day, so you know what that means: clipping coupons!

Wednesday, 3/25:  Bella.  Doing what she always does:  follow me around.

Thursday, 3/26: new haircut!!  A bit (ok, quite a bit) shorter than I wanted, but it's growing on me.  No pun intended.

Friday, 3/27:  and now for the almost-disaster.  We were watching TV last night and Bentley was outside as always.  Dan was worried because he had been out there for a long time.  I wasn't concerned until Dan calls from the backyard - "The gate's open!"  Dan ran to the front door and I went out the back door calling his name.  We are so lucky that he ran right to Dan and came inside.  We're not sure how long he was loose, but we are so grateful that he is home safe.

Hello and Happy 3rd week of March!  My week is off to an eventful beginning!!

Friday, 3/20.  I drove to Dallas to help Dan pack up the apartment there.  Here's Bentley looking a little attention deprived.  (disclaimer:  these photos were taken with Dan's iphone, so they are not the best of quality.  I *gasp* forgot my camera!)

Saturday, 3/21.  We ate at Hank's, one of our favorite places in McKinney.  May be our last time for a while.

Sunday, 3/22.  We were driving along and came across this pink RAZR.  Dan just had to turn around so I could take  photo.

Monday, 3/23.  My car turned 100,000 miles today.  I was driving at the time, but when I could safely pull over, I snapped this with my Blackberry (again, pretty poor quality, but I had to capture the moment!)

Wow this week is flying by!!

Yesterday, 3/18:  Here are Bella and Bentley looking out the window.  Bentley spends most of the night here.

Today:  3/19.  Becky game me this cute little monkey a few years ago for Christmas.  No matter where we are living, he always finds a home!

I've been trying to capture more of our "everyday" life recently.

Sunday, March 15th:  Dan leaves for Dallas in the morning. What a sad sight to see.

Monday, March 16th:  new kitchen towels.  Isn't it amazing what a difference little things like new towels makes! And come on - you've gotta love these chickens!

Tuesday, March 17th:  dishes.  never fun, but part of everyday life.  or maybe every-other-day life. :)

I'm a slacker *hangs head in shame*

I've been great about taking my photo-a-day, but I've been terrible about posting them.


Sunday, 3/8: dinner. turkey meatloaf, romano mashed potatoes, and corn. it tasted much better than it looks here.


Monday, 3/9: shopping. drastic times call for frugal measures. I've started couponing again. You may laugh until I tell you that tonight at Kroger, the register said $70.37 before I handed the cashier my saver's card and coupons. And what was my total, you ask? $18.73. No joke.

Tuesday, 3/10: my new favorite gum. Orbit Pomegranate.

Wednesday, 3/11: beautiful little flowers in the back yard. Good thing I took the photo when I did; we got 2.5" of rain this weekend and they are pretty much destroyed.

Thursday, 3/12: smart car on my way home from work. so cute.

Friday, 3/13: dinner at Red Lobster. good food. bad service.

Saturday, 3/14: I have my freezer back!

And yes, I know I am still 2 days behind. Patience. :)

Wow time has gotten away from me this past week. Here are some of my photos of the day:

Tuesday, March 3rd: I visited my Ear, Nose & Throat doctor and came home with $70 worth of prescriptions.

Wednesday, March 4th: My current favorite shoes. Sketchers!

Thursday, March 5th: Golden Tee with Dean & Pat. I almost won... came in 2 strokes behind Dean. At least I got 2nd place!!

Friday, March 6th: Bella. These "kong" chew toys are hollow. I found putting pieces of hot dog inside keeps the dogs busy for a while! I love how she hold it with her paws.

Saturday, March 7th: Our first Texas chili cookoff.

and I made Dan take some new pictures of me for my profile photos. So far, I have only edited this one, but I think he did a great job! Thanks, Honey!

where does the time go?

Crazy busy these days. Here is the proof:

Thursday, Feb 26:  Bella likes to lay under the piano while I am practicing.  This time, she didn't run away when I got up, so I snapped a quick photo!

Friday, 2/27: Dan came home with treats - Sprinkles cupcakes, my FAVORITE!!  Red Velvet!

Saturday, 2/28:  We attempted to give Bella a haircut.  Here she is half way thru.  Not a pretty sight...

Sunday, 3/1.  March already!  We watched a movie after Stake Conference.  "Cube" - not recommended.

Monday, 3/2:  Back to "normal."  I have been wanting to organize the DVDs since we moved in.  When I originally unpacked them, I just randomly put them on the shelves, and it's been bugging me ever since. :)  OCD?  Maybe a little... now they are in proper alphabetical order.
